Tru Bleu is not only the name, but it also defines the concept upon which our pieces are acquired. The term 'true blue' was coined centuries ago to describe an English blue fabric that was so well made, the dye didn't fade with washing- the color remained true. We pride ourselves on remaining true to the philosophy of consistently offering unique pieces from all over the country that stand out in a crowd, with great price points and style that will never disappoint.

Tru Bleu first opened in 2010 by owner Jen (Killian) McCloskey after she returned to her hometown in Barrington. The original Tru Bleu Boutique was located on Lageschulte Street in downtown Barrington. Tru Bleu first offered an alluring variety of jewelry and fashion accessories for women. After four years, Tru Bleu was moved to its current location at 708 S. Northwest Highway in Barrington. The newly renovated space was almost twice the size of the original location, and offered the same gorgeous collection of jewelry, fashion accessories, and clothing- but more!

Tru Bleu carries chic pieces that feature a mix of well-known labels with unique and original new lines. Each piece is hand selected by Jen to ensure that it represents the right mix of feminine and edgy yet classic and wearable looks that encompasses the essence of the boutique.
